instruction.

Over the past several years, I have taught classes in information literacy, research skills, composition and rhetoric, English literature, literary studies, the humanities and creative writing.

I have taught in both formal and informal settings, for a wide variety of institutions and organizations, and worked with student populations from the K - 12 range through late adulthood. Since 2009, I have also provided mentoring to the same population, under the auspices of both The Writer's Garret and Collin College.

I have participated in team-taught courses as well as led classes on my own. I have also developed lesson plans and full curricula. My special area of expertise is creative writing, and, in my time at The Writer's Garret, I have successfully implemented a new standard curriculum for all students participating the orgainzation's adult continuing education initiative, the Writers' Community and Mentorship Program (CAMP.) I have also served as the administrative lead on the development of distance learning opportunities at The Writer's Garret.

I have also facilitated and appeared on panels at conferences (e.g., &Now) across the United States on the topics of narrative, experimental literature, and experimental writing practices, all of which are areas of specific interest and foci of my research. For a complete list of my conference presentations, please review a copy of my full CV, a copy (PDF) of which you may download by clicking here.

I have also developed interactive educational programming for "outside the classroom" settings, chiefly under the auspices of The Writer's Garret and Strophe. Strophe (which is organized by myself, Janice Lee and Laura Vena) is a series of free, community- and online-based programs promoting interdisciplinary art practices, interdisciplinary collaboration, and interdisciplinary art appreciation, with an emphasis on the linguistic possibilities inherent in all aesthetics and media. For more information about Strophe's mission and programming to date, please visit the Strophe website.
