I have over a decade's experience in graphic design, and have created posters, chapbooks, logos and websites both for myself and a variety of clients: Southern Methodist University's Central University Libraries, Black Clock, The Writer's Garret, Speed Round Media, and others. My visual work has been exhibited in Stockholm and Los Angeles, and I am currently at work on a series of animated .gif abstractions (a sample is available in the gallery below.) As a professional librarian (MLS, UNT, 2002), I also have a great deal of experience in the description, classification and organization of artifacts and information assets. While employed at SMU, I supervised and performed much of the digitization work (from restoration to metadata population to database creation) for the "Historic Government Publications from World War II" digital library, including the "Melvin C. Shaffer World War II Photographs" collection. As a sound designer, I have released release projects under the name "The Vitrines" (Utopian Lapses, a collection of pieces based on canonical New Age recordings), "Zellowpeck," and "DJ Obvious." Further information regarding all of these activities is available at the Slowstudies Radio website. I am available to perform design work on a freelance basis. If you are interested in learning more about the services I provide and my specific areas of expertise, please see "contact." below for additional details. What follows is a gallery featuring selections from my design portfolio. Additional selections are available upon request. Please see "contact." below for additional details. |
